CARTER RAE
JUNIOR COACH
I started speed skating at the age of 7 because I loved to skate but I didn't love hockey. Speed skating is my passion because I love going fast. When I am competing, there is nothing more satisfying than getting Personal Best Times and passing out of a corner or making a pass on the inside as you enter a corner. My favourite speed skating competition is BC Long Track Championships in Fort St. John's. This is my third year coaching. Coaching is awesome because I like helping younger skaters out. I especially enjoy working with skaters with diverse needs as I can relate to their experiences. Lastly, I like being a role model to the skaters in the Sardis Fliers Speed Skating Club.
